#Cleaning the World

THE FINAL OF THE 29th ACTION CLEANING THE WORLD – POLAND

On the second day of the final, we were cleaning underwater together with the Perfect Diver Magazine and the invited volunteer divers. This time we freed Lake Durowskie from almost a ton of garbage! This is an extremely important contribution to a healthy and clean planet. Without the help of divers, what is invisible to the eye, would forever remain at the bottom of this beautiful reservoir, seriously harming nature and ourselves.

BALTICTECH 2022

It was 2007. Various conferences and diving fairs were held in several European cities. There were no such events in Poland, and yet the potential in the sense of good divers and interesting dive spots was significant. The number of wrecks in the Baltic alone reaches hundreds, if not thousands.

Sharing knowledge, experience and fears from various types of dives has become an end in itself.

#Cleaning the World

ALL THE TRASH IS OURS!

The underwater trash too! Last year there was a record that we hadn't seen for years. More than 300,000 volunteers relieved nature of 442 tons (!) of waste in the 28th Clean Up the World Action - Poland! This number also included divers who, together with us, cleaned up Lake Bystrzyckie and Lake Ciecz from the garbage lying there. Unfortunately, this is proof that we still produce rubbish and we do it a lot.

THE FIRST EDITION OF THE DIVING TALKS
International Diving Congress

The first edition of the Diving Talks - International Diving Congress contributed to the restart of the diving scene. Above all, it was a great weekend with old friends and meeting new ones. Much to improve for the next edition, but the feedback immensely encourages the organizers to go on.

Diving Talks aimed to bring Portugal an event to promote and share knowledge on the subaquatic environment and diving.

#Cleaning the World

UNDERWATER CLEANUP

Traditionally, during the third weekend of September, the whole of Poland cleans up. We already know that such a large involvement as this year’s has not been recorded for years. Over 3,500 registered groups from the Baltic Sea to the Tatra Mountains cleaned up under the banners of the Clean up the World – Poland campaign. We still have to wait for the official results, but we can already estimate that 300,000 Poles took part in the action! This year, special attention was given to waste left over from our leisure and recreational activities - we call this 'weekend waste'. And, as we all know, the weekend is a great time to relax by the water.

CLEANING THE WORLD

On the third day of the final, we dived in the beautiful Lake Strzeszyńskie in Poznań. Together with 20 divers invited by the Perfect Diver Magazine, we took out 65 kg of rubbish in less than an hour, with very limited visibility. Shoes, sunglasses, beach accessories accompanied traditional waste such as glass and plastic bottles or a car tire...

#Diving Power Festival

AFTER AND BEFORE THE FESTIVAL OF POWER

The Diving Power Festival is a meeting between divers. Of course, the basis of the event program is equipment testing. So we have to test heating systems, their power supply, we also have diving flashlights - the "more serious" - split and simpler ones. Added to this there are dive computers and other electronics or accessories that protect this electronics. Everything under the sign of electricity - power. Everything hidden under the festival's slogan should be powered up by definition. Not this time, however.

#Diving Festival of Power

DIVING FESTIVAL OF POWER

At the beginning there was just Tomek with one brand of lighting and heating systems powering, and an idea how to promote this brand. Diving Festival of Power. The event is another version, extension or supplement to the Diving Farewell to Summer, a cyclical event organized by divers from Olsztyn. Everything, however, revolved around one place - Kulki...

#Seminar #Warsaw Seminar on Underwater Archaeology

3rd WARSAW SEMINAR ON UNDERWATER ARCHAEOLOGY

The life cycle of an archaeologist? Loads of paperwork, far less fieldwork, some analyses, and back to the office – both to work on further grant proposal and to conclude the season or project with the thesis, article or monograph. The latter might and should be interrupted by the participation in the very enjoyable social meetings. Those we call the conferences, basically to mislead ourselves.
